Health Care Reform Resources
These background papers were drafted in response to national conversations about health care reform and Indian Country. The papers discuss aspects of the Indian Health Service (IHS), including contrtact health services, IHS eligiblity criteria, and the role of non-physician providers in the IHS. The intention of the papers is to provide background information for American Indian and Alaska Native communities to consider as they formulate their own policy stances on health care reform and health care systems more broadly. The NCAI PRC would welcome questions or comments about these papers. For more information, please contact Puneet Chawla Sahota, Post-doctoral Fellow.
